  • He doesn't mention the main benefit of MSI files. Administrators can easily deploy, upgrade, or uninstall an MSI installed app across a huge number of machines in one step. MSI files are also easily integrated into windows setup. A secondary benefit is making all installs behave roughly the same way. They basically put a lot of burden on the app developer (to conform to the MSI spec) to ease the burden of the administrator that deploys the app.

  • @buildingmovies I think I forgot to say "Recognize 32GB of RAM."

  • @DeltaPhi79 32GB? Thats storage! If you mean 32-Bit, then yes. Running 16-Bit apps on 64-bit apps WONT work

  • @JereHakala the video was made back in 2007 windows 7 didnt even exist

  • I cannot open msi files i have not been able to open them since my computer automaticly updated to microsoft service pack (3), i no longer have service pack 2 installed.

  • Oh sorry I was thinking of file systems. Ignore that!!! I thought 64-bit could recognize 32GB???

  • I thought 64-bit could recognize 2TB?
