This is a time-lapse movie of Research Vessel Hespérides while navigating the Panama Canal, during the MALASPINA 2010 expedition (http://www.expedicionmalaspina.es/). The movie was made at the upper decks with a GoPro HD camera fixed to a pole, shooting one frame every 5 seconds, and is reproduced at 0,06 seconds per frame. The movie does not capture the full navigation. It just covers the Miraflores locks as viewed from the prow (first sequence), from the bow (second sequence) and the Gatún lake, descent locks and arrival to the Caribbean Sea from the prow (third sequence).
