Nine Inch Nails performing "Something I Can Never Have". No, I don't know when this was, sorry, so don't ask. But I *do* know that Trent cries during it. Around 4:30 is when that becomes REALLY evident. Thanks to my friend Kayley (Killaya in the NIN world) for sending me the song *lessthanthree* :D

  • My friend asked me "What does Nine Inch Nails even mean?" and I looked at him and said "Pain."

  • I'm so glad TR's finally happy and married. He really needed someone to support him and love him.

  • Trent bleeds through in this song.

  • This album of NiN has affected me more than any other throughout my life (40+yrs), it hits so many places... so many slag this music off cos in that sort of 'goth/weird' genre with profanities... those people I instantly don't want to know... if they can't 'feel' this they can't feel anything real IMO!

  • @marinlabyrinth I think this touches all of us that have sufferered real emotional pain, irrelevant of background. And also those of us that may have SM tendencies but keep them locked in, we really 'feel' this track and all of NIN in particular. Btw, am agreeing with you!

  • @linkinaddict01 I could not agree more.

  • I've seen this live and yeah he does seem to break, it's justified though because we all were too. Some still are...

  • It sounds like it is between 1999 and 2006. Sorry! I know its a long space. If you want my true opinion, I would say its during the Fragile tours.

  • @BlackFishSS or a freaking awesome cliche associated with the genre. :)

not ashamed of my goth- and sadomasochistic- sides, and i would hope you wouldn't be either. there are a variety of Nine Inch Nails fans, and we should embrace all of them

  • @marinlabyrinth Nothing more than the fact that they are a terrible cliche associated with the genre.
