Unfortunately this route is now closed to the public.

Road access via the Avenue and access by foot via Faircraft Loynes boatyard although this is not a public right of way and is only by courtesy of Faircraft Loynes with their permission.

In any case of doubt contact the Brewery Tap on 01603 781952

  • I literally live just around the corner from where I think this place is - I keep hearing about it and now I know why I have never stumbled across it in the past.

I used to use the Kings Head when the Waterfront rooms were open, started DJ'ing in there too (Waterfront) just before it was closed (not my fault)..lol

    They were the days.

I will make a point of visiting the Shed one eve, it will be a good excuse to get my bike out again.

    Thanks for posting this vid.

Many thanks for your email – glad you liked the video! I have popped into the Kings Head over the years and also remember the Horseshoes when that was open. To be honest though I used to like the Castle and was very sad when it was turned into housing.

Thanks again for your comment and do visit the Shed, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!!!

  • Now that the path thro from Oyster boats is shut I think you need to do another video.

Eventually found you with the help of a little old lady.

Fantastic - We will be back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Memories, I attended a Gentlemans Evening at the Castle just before it closed.. that was a proper Gentlemans Evening too.. I'm sure that's not been forgotten here :)
