this 1962 bolens 600 is great! 150 bucks, runs awesome, it all works. came with the tire chains and the wheel weights! the tire chains are from a corvair the dude told me... he had it since 70. and always maintained the thing, and adjusted the valves and all. 6 HP briggs and straton engine. pullstart luckily!

  • i was wondering if you could make a video of the 1455 mudding

  • @muddermaster

Hey man, Hopefully at somepoint. I still have to get that thing back together.

  • I got a bolens 1455 that had a 14hp Wisconsin but we up graded to a 20 hp Honda v twin and it seems that they did not exist but for one year. Have you had any trouble with parts for the oringial motor

  • @flexer1200

hey there man. The original engine in what? this 1962 bolens 600, or the 1455. Because i actually do have a 1455, and i need a front engine pulley for it pretty bad. the front axle broke, and came up and smashed the cast aluminum pulley. the 14hp wisconsin, in that frame, with that trans was used for at least 3 years i think. Different model names, but same machine really. Different style throttle cables, seat an steering wheel shape thats pretty much it.

  • your going thru some deep water and mud in all you video

  • @tommartyn I'v got 94-96(i think) GT6000 Craftsman with a 22Hp kohler vtwin in it. Bought some good tires for it a couple years ago and have been romping with it ever since and never really had any problems. The tractor i had before this one was also a GT6000, looked exactly the same except it had a horizontal 20Hp Briggs&Stratton in it, It smoked so much that it was actually hard to see where you were going:P

  • @SHAD0WZOMBIE

Well, with the bolens, My favorite ones are all 8.25-12hp, so its mostly just how it works out. I really like the wisconsin engines, and these didn't have any bigger wisconsin's in them. The tecumseh's they used in some of the newer tube frame bolens, like 14 -16 hp were junk, and smoke like crazy, and run like crap, so i pretty much don't worry about them. Though i do like extra power, for sure :) we could us it alot sometimes. But we still have fun with what we got.

  • @tommartyn Actually i did, but i guess i never put the two together in my mind, Thanks:D, Btw, i was wondering, you guys seem to usually romp around in 8-12 hp tractors, do you have any more powerful ones or are the smaller ones just easier to get your hands on:P?

  • @SHAD0WZOMBIE

Ah, gotcha. Hey, did you see my video on why bolens tractors don't roll? Its about how the transmissions are designed to lock up unless the driveshaft is driving it.
