Why: In its inaugural year, the Atlanta Chapter of New Leaders Council continues the unprecedented work set forth by previously established chapters within the institute. According to the Center for Progressive Leadership, The conservative movement spends $40 million dollars each year to identify, recruit and train the next generation of conservative leadership in the United States. Thats 10 times more than the progressive movement spends on long-term leadership development and skills building training for young progressives.

For this reason, New Leaders Council is leading the charge to recruit and train the next generation of progressive political entrepreneurs in metro Atlanta. NLC believes in recruiting emerging leaders from outside of the traditional power structures, engaging them on both local and national levels, and equipping them to be civic leaders -- not only for elective office, but also in their communities and workplaces.

Progressive leadership in Georgia does not have to be an oxymoron. Support New Leaders Council Atlanta as they lead the charge for change in Atlanta and the world. For more information on the fellows, or to purchase tickets visit: http://tiny.cc/ATLFellowsFundraiser.
