Eric Miyashiro played with Global All Stars (one of amateur big band in Japan) at the free concert.
This digest film shows Eric's "monster" play in five minutes, he and the band plays MacArthur Park, Danny Boy, Dancing Nitely, South 21st Shuffle, Brazil and Gonna Fly Now. Yes, all tunes are Maynard Ferguson's greatest hits.
I know you will not be gratified because they are too short, but you will find Eric's high-voltage plays.
It was recorded in 2002, but... please remember the monster still continues growing up!

but i would say eric and wayne b are my fave two trumpet players at this moment ...if you get a hold of the mf tribute concert dvd at end when patrick eric and wayne take turns in rocky eric and wayne but patrick to shame

yeah if you close your eyes you would think your hearing mf in his prime ....but i seen someone talking about mf lead trumpet player patrick hession no offence but eric blows patrick out of the water tone power range and so on....patrick sound like hes playing out of a tin can...but i do give him credit because he was mfs lead for couple years

This guy was blowin lead for Sammy Davis Jr.'s band when he was 14. 14! He's pushing 50 now. Watch the breath control and phrasing. And to circle-breathe on top like that? That's talent.

Exactly. They were happy since they were so freaking wasted on junk they didn't know which end was up...Coltrane, Davis, all of em. They lived fast, died before their times, and spent more time high than sober. Sad, but true.
