Emperor GuangXu

GuangXu (Kuang-hsu) was the tenth Emperor of the Great Qing dynasty reigning from 1874-1908. However, he did not actually rule for very long. Acted for by regents, when he reached his majority he instituted the "100 Days of Reform" in an effort to modernize China and establish a representative, constitutional monarchy in similar fashion to Meiji Japan. However, when his aunt, the powerful Grand Empress Dowager Cixi saw the traditional power base threatened she launched a coup against him and kept him under house arrest for the rest of his life. When he died, only one day before the Empress Dowager, many suspected she had him poisoned so he could not retake power after her death.

Yeah I know that. I heard that Long Yu and consort Jin(Zhen's sister) teamed up to get Cixi to hate her.

Thanks. The Emperor might have agreed with you on LongYu. Cixi forced that marriage on him and he never really got along with her. His consort Zhen was his favorite.

Emperor GuangXu was a great emperor and a human being. He cared his love (Pearl) and it was truly sad that he lost her.

If not wrong, Qing Dynasty will not destroyed if he around. He was one of greatest emperor in China, but Cixi had ruin his plan. Actually Qing Dynasty will able around.

I very against the People's Republic of China, My future goal is destroyed People's Republic and rebuilt the Qing Dynasty.

Yes, China do lost a great chance of modernization without destructive revolution and wars between warlords. But that's quite difficult. Guangxu cannot control the army and be betraied by damned Yuan Shikai. Beside him, he cannot control the politics and anybody else neither. He do have a few followers but unfortunately most of them are young bookworms. And, besides, too many officers of Qing (even with the imperial family) cares nothing except of their own wallet. What a mass!!!
