What I can't figure out, is how all these people, some of them my contemporaries, keep telling me about all of these 'artists,' Bob Dylan included, covered this Axehole Rose, Guns and Roses song. Poor Bob Dylan: after he ripped off Hendricks' 'All Along The Watchtower' song people just keep thinking that he is a musical thief.Like he's just a Rolling Stone or something. People really need to revisit Highway 61.

Yeah, amazing song. Guns and Roses gave this one to Robert Zimmerman to cover--he'll be on American Idol next week (I have some inside Hollywoood info). Sam Peckinpah saw their talent and commissioned them to do the soundtrack. Via you, and your philistine ways, is how American movie history, art and appreciation of art as history died. But yes, Guns and Roses wrote and produced a good song here.
