Koss makes good budget portable headphones (see the Clip-on headphones and the PortaPro), but they are nowhere near audiophile quality. SENNHEISER is what you want.

With the apple earphones you can pause and switch also, just press both volume buttons on the earphone one -> pause and twice for the next song.
