Fortunately, Clayton (R.I.P.) could actually play a mean guitar, whatever about the "stranguation" aspect . . . beats that awvful 2 chord punk version any day. Ciao !
Doesn't it just? What makes me wonder a lot more is why anyone would want to listen to Paul Clayton earnestly strangling all the life out of what essentially is and always was a rousing ballad, even in the early 1800s. But there you go.
Poor punk version of an old Napoleonic Ballad made famous back in the '50's by Paul Clayton. Was it really worth putting this out there on You Tube . . . . ?
Ah, well, you can't please everybody. We can't take the "2 chord jibe" lying down though - there are at least three awful chords in that song.
