Law & Order Soon coming to a town near you

Here is where we are headed:

Politically objective materials (i.e. books, literature, films, posters, MP-3 files etc) can now be used as material EVIDENCE against you if the powers that be deem it necessary to quelch protest movements BEFORE they even happen. This is NO different from tactics used by any repressive government, whether it was the Soviets yesterday, or the US government during the civil rights and anti war movements during the 1960s. The only difference being, that the surveillance apparatus has become much more sophisticated during the last few decades.

So, in the not too distant future, it should come as no surprise to anybody at this late stage, if you are asked to explain the choice of books you read, the music you listen to, the films you watch, in case the authorities decide that you may pose a threat to national security (theirs). At this rate, depending on who is in power, you may find yourself explaining, WHY you purchased that latest CD by Coldplay, Willie Nelson, or for that matter a recent copy of Atlas Shrugged, Das Kapital, your viewing habits on the The Economist website, your collection of books regarding Western and Eastern Philosophy, a copy of the Bible, not to mention Origin of the Species, by Charles Darwin. Add to this, a copy of the US Constitution and several computer files related to Exxon Mobile, Ghandi and Mussolini and you will soon find out how the law is applied to YOU:

Anything and everything will be used AGAINST you, and the burden of proof does not reside with your accusers the burden of proof rests with you, because the presumption of innocence is no longer operative. Instead, heresy and witness testimony obtained under duress, or torture (either way), will be accepted as evidence against you in the near future.
