I miss 2nd Street Cafe pancakes. :(

My old neighborhood where I grew up. I now live in Midwood but I still go to the Slope to my dentist.
I'd like to move back but, alas, the rents are too high.
It's changed over the years. Used to be bars on every corner. These were replaced with real estate offices and/or Chinese restaurants :(
Still a great neighborhood..

Thanks for the lovely photos - my daughter and family lived in Park Slope for 5 years and I feel homesick (even though I never lived there!). And I so, so miss Barnes & Noble.

great pictures I love all the brownstones

Looks like quite a few pictures of President Street, where I played lots of stickball as a kid back in the '70's. We had friends who sold their brownstone on Carrol St. in '73 and moved to Long Island...they sold it for $35,000!!
Love the Jobim, btw!

Its funny how these people are somehow supposed to bemaking the hood better but it seems less like a neighborhood everyday. I encourage you to move down below 17th street and seventh avenue into south slope (?). Sure, the hipsters are moving in daily but it still retains much of the old school charm,,, and cheap tacos!

80% of these pics are NOT in The Slope!

where is 3rd street aka the most beautiful block in brooklyn!
-
where are some of this streets? i'm going for a visit and to shoot some pics of these beautiful houses. Which streets would you recommend walking on?

Thanks all... Most of the photos were taken in Park Slope. I added some Brooklyn photos in the mix for those who are not familiar with that area..I could have called Brooklyn but since majority of the photos were PSlope, it did not feel right.
Next time I will be more careful, promise!!
Till then take care,
