I beleive the slower the singing, the older and more strict the Mennonite order is (so I've been told)

This singing is from a church service, not a school event. At school, children sing gospel hymns. This chanting is from the Gesangbuch, a hymnal from the 16th century and would not be used for a school function.

@sueuprising it actually is at a school event.I was personally there and recorded it.You are correct in in assuming that this kind of chanting/singing is usually done out of the Gesangbuch in church,but this song is a song about school and not found in the Gesangbuch.I went to this school for 6 years and we sang this song every year
