Crysis running on Compaq Presario CQ62-238DX Laptop on Windows 7 64-bit at low settings. Patch 1.2 installed. I get about 10 to 20 FPS on this laptop, which is completely playable. Recorded using FRAPS (free version), so I could only record 30 seconds max.
I bought this Laptop at a Best Buy store for $379 US Dollars.
Specs: AMD Athlon II Dual-Core Processor P320 CPU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
3GB RAM

  • Wow, Thank you so much for this. The more and more I look up this laptop the more I think about purchasing this. If you don't mind me asking what was the price tag you got yours at?

  • @konakid88 I got this laptop for 379 dollars at BestBuy. You can still get it at BestBuy for that price as of August 31st. It's listed on their website too.

  • Can anyone tell me if i can at least play this game with these specs it is a compaq i just dont know if its the same as in the video

2.2GHz AMD V-Series Processor for Notebook PCs V120

    Microprocessor Cache 512KB L2 Cache

    Memory 3GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM)

Video Graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics

  • @MsXtreme1234 Your laptop is not the same as in the video. The laptop in the video is clearly stated as the Compaq Presario CQ62-238DX, and if you do a google search on that, you can see the hp website listing its specifications. It has an AMD Athlon II P320 Dual Core processor which is WAY faster than the AMD V120 single core cpu. The laptop you listed might barely play it, but not as well as mine would. Crysis plays best on Dual or Quad Core CPU's. Yours might play on all low settings though.

  • Have you tried running Left 4 Dead or it's sequel on this laptop?

  • @streetballerv310 Yes, I just bought Left 4 Dead 2 and it plays just fine on this laptop. I have to set the graphics settings to medium or low to play the game smoothly. It's very choppy at high settings. But at low settings, Left 4 Dead 2 is very playable. Setting the ATI graphics settings in CCC to High Performance helps games run smoother too.

  • I've tried l4d2 and it worked great

  • Do You Know If I Could Play Crysis 1 on An Acer 2.7Ghz Le-1640? With Also the 1Gb Graphics I Install? I Know i Cant Play it on high But Can i Play it on LOW?

  • The CQ56-240 (for a few dollars more) has a better CPU, it can play pretty much any game but some with low or med settings. Pretty good bang for buck for when you're on the road and miss playing a game (urgent withdrawal, which I can relate to).

And I thought the CQ62-238XD had a different CPU than the Celeron 900?

  • @TheMacGeek i was really surprised to see this at all... crysis really needs a better comp than this

  • Could i play call of duty black ops on this with the Compaq Matte Black 15.6" Presario CQ62-219WM Laptop PC with Intel Celeron 900 Processor & Windows 7 Home Premium. PLZ LET ME KNOW!!!!! I WOULD LOVE TO BUY IT!!!!!

  • do you think i can play GTA IV on the computer

  • not to shabby:)

  • Turn off Vsync and see if it gets more fps ;)

  • This computer can play some games... Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 are not on recommended by hardware specifications but can defiantly be played proficiently. I'm hopeful that i may be able to play Dead Space on it.. Although Can You Run It says my CPU is not sufficient (Which the CPU has little to do with gameplay anyway) im hopeful it will play with at least 27 Fps. When plugged in to an outlet... If not, i do own the game on my 360!

  • @TheMacGeek

You say that you have ran Left 4 Dead 2 on the Laptop... but could you please post a video of gameplay footage of it? I bought the laptop after watching one of your videoes on it & really want to get both L4D games.... but only if the actually run good (& I would really have to see at least one of them in action to determine this).

    I would greatly appreciate it.
