Both Korea and Japan are great countries. Per this discussion, without a doubt Samsung is a larger company than Sony. Samsung's portfolio outnumbers Sony's by a large margin, and it has stronger electronic brands. In the US, Samsung LCD and Plasmas are second to none. Korea Hwaiting!!

I believe korea is still a few years behind Japan when it comes to technology, etc. Both great nations, but the amazing thing about Korea is that they came out of poverty so fast since the 50's.

For now, Japan is ahead, who knows what'll happen in the future, but japan makes great electronics and great porn ;)

Does Samsung have hi tech robotic stuff like what Sony and Honda have? and why are you comparing the revenue of Samsung and Sony? Is Sony into shipbuilding and building construction? You can't compare those stuff. Sony isn't into heavy industries, construction,and shipbuilding.

Sony are currently at the forefront with LCD technology. Their BRAVIA screens are optimised to get the most out of the lcd screens in terms of contrast, saturation etc.

I have never found great satisfaction from any samsung product, cheap and only last a couple of years (IMHO)

Don't use size and revenue as factors. Don't over concentrate on Samsung alone. As I've said before Samsung isn't technology, I'ts a company though it branches out into many industries. Samsung is good. My LCD is Samsung. My MP3 is Samsung...I have chosen Samsung because it's more affordable than Sony. I know your country is extremely wealthy but there are no differences between a Filipino beggar and a Korean beggar and an uneducated Filipino and an uneducated Korean. (Just the nationality)
