@reporter Its high school and college wrestling. There are slight variations to keep the younger generation safe in an academic environment. Most competitive academic wrestlers do freestyle and greco-roman during off-season. You do not get points for "5 point throws" and doing so is discouraged. You can away with nice head 'n arms, and arm throws, and lateral drops, but you must avoid slamming your opponent or you are disqualified. There are more difference while on top / bottom. text limit.

american folkstyle is the wrestling that high schoolers do but it is not the same as freestlye the rules are much more diffrent
