He's very non-threatening looking to babies, handsome and kind looking, and is obviously comfortable with them. Babies can read faces, especially eyes, very well.

One of the earliest examples of collaborative fiction in the mythological genre. I give it a 7/10. Flashy, interesting plot, but unreadable in any linear manner.
