Psalms 67 is closely connected in meaning and liturgy with Shavu`ot (Pentecost) in both the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. The reconstructed melody (based on the Letteris Edition) and its modern arrangement constitute one of the most strangely ethereal musical works I have ever heard. Indeed I didn't grasp the depths of its meaning until one sunny but misty Pentecost morning, somewhere in the Mediterranean paradise that is so much of California...
