Wearing helmets? (My personal opinion is wear them if you want, or don't). I wear them on the highway for comfort (hours of wind screaming through my hair, to me is uncomfortable). Around town, I usually don't wear one. It should be the other way around. In town, you are most likely to crash, or get hit, which is when you actually need a helmet. At 70mph highway speed, it doesn't matter, because no helmet is going to protect you much in a high speed crash.

@nick5400 in the U.K its the law to wear a helmet, otherwise its a 250 pound fine which equates too about 420 us dollars i think

@nick5400 Its not about the wearing of .Its about the choice its my choice ! not some weasel in Washington .Most of the people I know in free choice states do wear .When I ride in them I wear its my choice .Pretty soon they are going to have us wearing those ugly orange vest's .Dont think it will happen they make truckers wear them now .They said it wouldnt happen with seat belts, helmets .New CSA 2010 regs say truckers have to be 305 BMI 6ft man thats 230 lbs .Cant do that ? they are trying

To each his own. I ALWAYS wear my helmet when riding. Probably the ONLY harley rider in my town that wears one. It's kinda ironic that because of the other guys, I am the one that looks odd. I've always wondered what the dudes that ride helmetless tell thier wife and kids. There is no way I could look my family in the eye and tell them "Daddy isn't going to wear a helmet because I have the right NOT to." Just seems kinda selfish to me. But again, to each his own...
