Episode 1, Series 2 - Mary & Matthew, Downton Abbey, Music Video

NB - Contains clips from the new Downton Abbey series 2, episode 1. Best viewed in large screen (their faces are even more epic!)

I saw the new episode on Sunday and Mary and Matthew were just so heartbreaking! I just had to make a video full of their epic faces. I just love their expressions and how much you can read into them.

Anyway, I won't start gushing about them, as I'll be here all day! Just hope you enjoy the video. I plan on making one for every episode this series.

Oh and the tune is called Lost Love from the WWII film Land Girls. Quite appropriate I thought, though Mary and Matthew have another 7 episodes to sort themselves out!

Absolutely gorgeous from the first moment to the last...LOVE opening on the prayer and the trenches and then going back to the earlier moments of the ep. :D This music is utterly stunning, and so fitting...the editing on the train station scene is truly a marvel -- how you capture their looks, even without dialogue. What a work of art...thank you SO MUCH for posting!!! :) Happy Belated Monday & please keep creating!!! :D

thank you for creating and posting this beautiful and moving video. I agree that opening with the prayer was a genius move. (BTW I want that photo of Matthew that Mary has!) These actors say so much without needing words; Dan and Michelle put everything in those looks at the train station. Matthew's "oh lord what now" look as he takes his hat off. I plotzed.
