Welcome to Apocalypse, a cosmic collision of New York's best DJs on the first day of earth's last year. Because if the Mayan calendar is right about 2012, we want to go out hard.

Starting at daybreak on New Year's Day, join Pacha resident Boris and Victor Calderone for a full day of beastly beats and doomsday drums. Boris plays the dawn of the dead; Victor takes over for the brutal afternoon, each DJ playing his own twisted soundtrack to humanity's final disaster.

To satisfy your other senses, Burning Man artist Overkill will share his own vicious vision of Apocalypse through art installations, while festival professionals AG & AAT provide layers of explosive lighting and video effects, not to mention sonic-boom sound.

The venue is Pier 94, a 135,000-square-foot wide-open space on Manhattan's far West side. The massive venue boasts views of the Hudson and a large VIP area overlooking the dance floor, so you won't miss a minute of the cataclysmic action.

It's the end of the world as we know it. Are you ready for your last dance?

Dave I think you are better suited to concerts where they litter stand and look toward the stage. You probably dont move, anyone whos into DANCE music knows its being able to touch the floor without feeling like your breaking is not cool. No one was asking for free water, wasnt no more bottled water to buy, I worked in clubs before, Been to big events. THat is the story, less production more attn to detail. Its about the music yes, but I didnt come to dance in a sanitation truck. get real!

Dissapointing. Showed up at noon - really went for VC. I typically do not expect much from Boris. Calderone always weeds the crowd out and then builds up to his peek stuff. I felt like we were just about to get there when he dropped Someone to Hold and then light on! I was then nearly stomped to death at coat check. As a 5 foot 5 115 pound girl, the giant roid freaks barreling through the coatcheck line with not even so much as an excuse me only added to my frustration. scene has changed

Listen, good time yeah, great time, not really. As you said it all comes down to the music & believe me, no one loves & respects VC more then I do, but be honest, nothing memorable about that set yesterday that had you wanting to get lost in. The only time it felt that everyone was finally feeling a common connection, boo the party ended!!!

mostly the same staff for 35 hours. this is obviously just a big money maker for them so i assume they're hiring a nonskilled, unexperienced cheap labor staff" so i did NOT bring a coat. all the people bitching below sound like it's your first big event. i go for the music, not for the fresh fruit. if you wanted fruit, just go towards the stage on the left, there were tons of fruits there. again, i had a great fucking time
