Wimzie's House - Wimzie in "I Don't Like Chores" singing "When There's A Job To Do"

Wimzie, who is a 5 year old bird-dragon mix from the PBS Kids show
"Wimzie's House", sings a sweet song about how she does stuff like
pitching up a tent even when no one else wants to help her with it.
This was in the Wimzie's House episode "I Don't Like Chores". My
friend Sonja Ball is actually the voice of Wimzie, and she lives near
Montreal, Canada, and I communicate quite often with her. I've been
more than pleased to know her, and she also does the voice of Arthur's
mom on the PBS cartoon "Arthur", as in the aardvark that has a sister
named D.W. Anyway, I thought this was such a sweet song, and I decided
to post it to YouTube. In the episode that this song is from, Wimzie and
her friends Lou Lou, Horace, and Jonas, do not like chores. Wimzie says
she is going to move outside and pitch her tent outside and live in the
backyard, avoiding doing chores. Her mother Graziella and grandmother
Ya-Ya decide that they don't want to do chores either, and then everything
starts falling apart!! LOL. Anyway, the song is just very beautiful and this
is one of my most favorite songs from the 150 something Wimzie's House
episodes. The show was shown on PBS from 1997 to 2000.

Reruns of the show are still seen on Saturday morning on THIS TV, a
station that originates from Chicago, but has many affiliates across
the country, including one in Portland, Oregon, on KATU Channel 2.
This is where this video was taken - Portland, by a friend of mine.
Actually, she had entire episodes sent to me, but I just wanted to post
this segment because I thought it was very cute and comforting and
soothing to hear.

My mom told me that I used to watch this as a baby, but I vaguely remember it. My only memory of this show was the old woman was screaming into the camera, and it said "Wimzie's House" in huge letters, followed by a huge yellow "M" and "CINAR." It was probably 2000 or 2001

my niece loved this show when she was a little one... and ya horace the actor that plays him plays tubby on little lulu show... thats how I came here from my earch to find out why I remembered the voice... thanks for the upload. and they say no chores so the kids will realize they have to be done becuase well things will get messy [phrase not dirty messy] good times
