Did you know only 1% of the U.S. budget goes to foreign aid? Bill Gates speaks about why aid is more important than ever. When the economy is weak, the poorest countries suffer the most.

  • Unfortunately Gates has convinced the US Government to spend many millions promoting genital mutilation (circumcision) in Africa, as a purported HIV prevention method. Pure quackery, all at the taxpayer's expense.

  • Sorry Mr. Gates, I'm for cutting all foreign aid. It is immoral to steal from American taxpayers to give to other nations.

Let it all be done by charity.

  • Not to mention that the amount that goes to foreign aid is a drop in the bucket. $140 million for a program is a lot, but it's also a rounding error compared to $14 trillion.
