Here is the 1966 playset of the Bat Cave from the Batman TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. The toy is made of thin plastic but it is in excellent condition. The action figures that I show afterwards are not part of the playset, but were from another set. The figures are Batman (1966), Robin (sans cape & 1966), Thunderbolt (1966), Mouse Man (1966), The Flash (1966), Penguin (1989), and Joker (1989).

The playset was made by Ideal Toys and sold through Sears. I am the original owner.

  • Well obviously you have never seen it up close. It is plastic and not cardboard. It is a great representation of the 1960's Batcave and was fun to play with too. Unlike today's toys it would not last one hour with the way kids treat their toys. But it is rare and a collectible. The figures back in 1966 were different compared to today's action figure, but who cares.

  • hey let me get ur email if your willing to sell this maybe we can work out a deal

  • @acuramech6907 - I will be honest with you. I would not sell this item for less than $2000. It was mine at the age of 6 and has been kept in near perfect condition. This is something that is neat to display and, considering that there are fewer of them out there in this condition, it makes it even more worthwhile keeping.

  • would u sell this

  • @TheSimtanic

Maybe. But I would not sell it for the average amount that it is getting on Ebay ($200.00).

  • @RaftCoveProductions well think of a price and let me know :D

  • @TheSimtanic Make me an offer, I might just say yes.

  • i had this same batcave when I was a kid. brought back some good memories. thanks..

  • Great condition yes! Unfortunately, this is the worst playset I think i have ever seen. Very poorly designed and lousy attention to detail, concept and overall, fun factor! Who wants to play with a cardboard diorama, cardboard Batmobile and lousy looking figures???
