Quick video of a pan & tilt rig I put together for the NXTCamV3. The motors are controlled by two PID controllers that try to keep the camera pointed at the center of the can. The firmware on the NXTCamV3 is my own, BlobMerge V0.2. It has a couple of features that make it more suitable for tracking objects.
* Attempts to merge objects that are close together
* Removed small objects that are likely artefacts
* Will internally track 12 objects and return 8 largest ones
* Sorts all objects according to size, so the first object is always the largest
It still needs a bit of work but it's a pretty good first attempt. It is programmed in ROBOTC 2.0.
