This is my muay thai/ kickboxing fight from Dec. 8th, 2007, "Warriors Collide" in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It was 3, 2 min. rounds, freestyle rules (means everything goes but knees and elbows). My record as of this date is 2-0 in kickboxing, and 1-0 in tournaments.
I won by way of knockout in the 2nd round, the referee finally called it when I landed a high kick to her jaw...it broke her jaw in 3 places.
I gotta say, I didn't know I could do that with my high kick...and she is such a nice girl with a lot of heart, I would have rather not "broken" anything but I suppose it's part of the game! She had such a great attitude about it all, I wish her the best!

THANKS FOR WATCHING!!! ...any comments?

  • hahaha nice ring attire, if she broke her jaw she would be in pain and have her mouth hanging open, so i dont think she did.

  • ok Dr.B...I guess the metal plate she had to get surgically implanted the next day in her jaw was based on a misdiagnoses. ;)

The very last high kick was what did it, and she was a tough girl so she just sucked it up. I almost couldn't believe it broke as well though...

  • Excelletnt timing with your spinning back fist in the first round...you also got great combos, you are always following with kicks. Great job! That's how i wanted my fights to go, but seems like they were always moving in and trying to clinch me.

  • THANKS! :) I fought freestyle rules (no knees) so there's less clinching. The knee is a powerful weapon, but personally even when I'm watching other fights I think when there's knees involved too much clinching can get boring and the fight doesn't flow as much. Also I trained to lengthen my combos more and follow with kicks b/c my I learned from watching my 1st fight where I wasn't the best kicker.

  • this was an awesome fight, an awesome night. I'm looking for videos of the other great fights that night....

  • THANKS for being there at the fights that night!

~and THANK YOU to those who watched and commented! I REALLY appreciate it!

  • Is that you in the videos? I think like in 2008 i went to a few MT fights on friday nights... good fights the ring girls were hot as hell.. ur stand up is nice=] I hope you keep training hard.. Osu =]

  • Nice fight but do you think you can handle that cristiane cyborg santos.

  • ok i don't get it, when do fighters wear headgear? i see some fights there is head gear and in alot of them there isn't

is it because of the type of sport or where the event is?

  • this isnt a match she got druged lol

  • nice kick, love the secene

  • this is an amateur fight in some states it is illegal to use elbows. where I'm from you also can't knee or kick to the head in an amateur fight.

  • i wish the ref would get out of the way for half of this.

  • you have good skills, but I do suspect a bit of a mismatch here, as you say the girl had heart, but to keep going forwar on a obviously stronger and more technical opponent was her undoing! this is most definately not a critisism! good show!!!

  • Is muay Thai Big in the States, on several visits tried to find places to train but had to settle with mma/kickboxing, nice skills by the way!

  • Good fight but don't insult the people of thailand by called THAT muay thai!

I have trained in thailand and seen REAL muay thai fights. If there are no knees & elbows or clinch work- IT IS NOT MUAY THAI.

What you're doing there is what would be considered "low kick". Its the basics of muay thai but without the clinch, elbows or knees.
