Damn I've come and my family has come a long ways--180. @deadxkillx I say "um" a lot when I'm typing, but in text it's easy to hit the delete key. I just hope, when I'm on a familiar topic to a familiar group, that I speak as eloquently as Adam does with uncomfortable topics to a whole internet of strangers.

I haven't seen this yet but I'll definitely check it out. Transgeneration was a pretty good documentary series though, it followed transguys and transgirls in their college years.

pretty interesting documentary. I've seen other docu's but they often have a commentator who doesn't quite get it or they use the wrong pronouns and stuff. This was pretty good :)

I didn't get to see it on tv (I'm Dutch and it wasn't broadcasted here), but you can find it online with a bit of googling so check that out if you haven't seen it yet.

Hey, I just watched the Chaz doc a few days ago & I liked it, but there's a lot more out there if u look for it! Lisa Ling has a show (also on the Oprah network), called Our America & she made a great episode called Transgender Lives". U should also check out "Boy I am", "Transgeneration", & "Make me a man" (which is slightly dated). Also, 20/20 has an episode called "My secret self" which is about transgendered kids. I've seen all of these on youtube, & many more come up in the "suggestions".

I watched it on Saturday and it's the best trans documentary I've seen. From most of the those I've seen I feel like they are purposely trying to make us look weird. It feels like it is the same approach as when they talk about extraordinary dinosaurs or something, I can't really explain it better...But in this Chaz himself did most of the explanation. Also I was afraid that the whole piece would be about the fact that Sonny+Cher were his parents and not him. Luckily I was wrong about that :)
