  • in an age where everyone wants to see MMA fighters beat each other senseless, it's nice to see a real traditional martial art.

  • @DavidJosephDanbee Hi Thanks for that! I appreciate your comment. Lots more to see on this channel. Regards Tom

  • is this actually bunkai straight from a kata or have you altered it for self defense?

  • @gojukarate100 Hi This is a selection of self defence moves was done without rehersal one sunday morning while training. Most of the moves can be found in Kata bunkai from Goju. I split Bunkai into three areas: 1 stuff that looks just like the Kata, 2 Stuff modified from the Kata concept. 3. 'Jazz' bunkai that is using a kata principle but in a free form manner. We use Kata a a sort of 'workshop manual' for combat and self defence moves. Hope that answers your question - regards tom.

  • Good stuff this is a true instructor.

  • @ArmyRanger921 Hi Thanks for your interest - much appreciated. Regards tom

  • @TOMHILLSVISION thanks that does help. i recognise some of the bunkai from different kata. but no club has the exact same karate anyway. thanks

  • i love how each lock is just a simple turn of the wrist effortlessly causeing great pain.

  • Excellent bunkai, very few true teachers left that actual understand the true meaning of karate not just repeating katas in sequence
