The Modesto Fire Department responded to a parked car that burned on the side of northbound Highway 99 on Monday, May 24, 2010. The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene at 12:11 p.m. The off-ramp to Kansas Ave. from Highway 99 was closed in addition to the number 3 lane of northbound Highway 99 as emergency personnel responded to the fire. As the car burned, the fire spread to vegetation on a hill adjacent to the side of the highway. Firefighters worked to contain the vegetation fire as the car burned. The scene was completely cleared at 12:55 p.m. and normal traffic flow was restored. No injuries were reported by CH
could you imagine a sight seeing tour and the tour guide said " up on your right a burning car next we cover settelrs of this region.
