@allen78704 how can anyone give this d-bag a thumbs up for saying jerry was 90 percent of the band really?? the lead singer is less than ten considering mike and sean surely contributed.
-
@1embletina layne did not even contact his mother when he was dying,,and you expect layne to contact his bandmates? what a stupid assumtion this was.
-
I wish they did this live with Layne. This is awesome too of course but I think it's perfect for Layne's voice.
-
@SludgePunkGrunge I disagree. The deepest and most meaningsfull lyrics of aic is written by Layne. Jerry also wrote some amazing ones but also some that were a little to mainstream and usual. Layne's were always so personal and real.
Layne and Jerry were like John and Paul. Sure Jerry was/is amazing, one of the greatest songwriters ever actually. But to say that he was 90 % of aic is like saying Paul was 90 % of the Beatles.

@30romes I wouldn't say he is the best all time. One of for sure, but not THE best. No such thing. And I would have to agree that Cantrell is AiC. Not saying that Layne didnt play a huge roll because he did. He was the vocalist, but overally Cantrell had a bigger impact. Musically and lyrically. With out Cantrell AiC would not exist.

just shut the fuck up and listen to the song

This song is fantastic, the Jar of Flies EP is soul-shaping music. I know AiC will never be the same without Layne's voice but they still rock, their new shit is pretty wicked.
RIP Staley, you are forever missed.

Layne's voice echoes through the audience.
that is the dumbest thing i think i ever heard in my entire 31 years! layne staley was one of if not the best vocalist of all time!! 90 percent my ass!

Everyone misses Layne....but anyone with half a brain can tell Jerry Cantrell was 90% of Alice in Chains. The "new" version isn't stepping on a legacy.
