Even if Kim Jong Un leans toward that sort of change to permit any sort of market, the military oligarchs would try to halt it because that is threatening to their political power and status, as the economic growth of resources and social changes could result in a revolution.

Worst case scenario: Kim Jong Un is retarded just like his father and grandfather.

Worst case scenario: Coup de tat by the military either necessitates a military intervention by ROK, PLA, and american forces (or the new leadership launches an invasion of the South).
Best case scenario: Kim Jong Un has taken a few economics classes while studying in Switzerland and allows at least some semblance of private markets to exist in North Korea.
