On Jan.31, 2009, Perris held a grand opening ceramony for the town's 1892 Santa Fe Depot. Also, OERM's VC #2 steam locomotive made several excursions between the museum and the depot. VC #2 put on a great show while operating! Also, Huell Howser came to film one of his shows for this special occasion!

  • For anyone who does not know and is interested the OERM's VC #2 is expected to be back in operational service some time early this year, and our UP E8 is currently in its final stages of its internal and external repairs, UP 942 is expected to be fully operational by April 2012, in time for the Union Pacific Employee Apprecation picnic on April 28th.

  • @Robotechnology101 Thanks for the head's up! The OERM website hasn't updated it's "What's New" section in 3 months! Hope to have more details on VC #2 soon.

  • We NEED THAT WHISTLE ON OUR F&W #14

  • @TheDeputation That would be a great idea. But I would also like to see if you guys could put a 3 chime whistle on #14 as well.
