Holocaust Survivor and Israeli Combat Officer

Meir Brand was born in 1936 in Bochnia, Poland. In August 1943 his parents paid a Pole to take Meir and his cousins to safety. After a three-week hike to the Slovakian border, Meir arrived alone in Budapest. There, he joined the refugees and orphans wandering the streets of the city, and in April 1944, he was taken in by a member of the Zionist underground. He was liberated in April 1945 and immigrated to the land of Israel. Meir later learned that his parents and older brother had been deported to Auschwitz and murdered.
Meir settled on Kibbutz Neveh Eitan, and in 1954 enlisted in the IDF, participating in all of Israel's wars from the Sinai Campaign to the First Lebanon War. Meir has three sons and eight grandchildren.

Jakim trzeba być bezdusznym, wyrachowanym, podłym, egoistycznym, cynicznym, tępym i obojętnym na cierpienia innych żeby dla tzw swojego narodu wybrać specjalny wyraz odróżniający "naszą" masakrę od "waszej" śmierci. "My" mieliśmy okropny holokaust, a "Wy" tylko przypadkiem zginęliście. Jakby była jakaś różnica pomiędzy męczonymi, zagazowanymi i palonymi ludźmi poszczególnych narodowości ! Żydzi nawet giną i palą się inaczej !

Paranoja i hipokryzja. To dopiero nazywa się rasizm.

In Germany they existed Germans who helped the jews. they risked their live or to be sent in concentration camps but they helped them allthough.

I knew a german family who had hidden a jewish famly and helped them to flee from Germany. In France idem.

It's fear to talk about this people who had sense of the justice.

Quite right, too. After what happened to them WWII they're making sure no one will ever push them about again. And no one is because they now use force to defend themselves.

It's a sad fact of modern times that sometimes one has to use violence to protect ones own.
