The Lo-Down recently visited with Paula Crossfield, the managing editor of Civil Eats (civileats.com) a web site focused on food and sustainability. She is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post's Green Page and is a contributing producer at The Leonard Lopate Show on New York Public Radio. She gave us a tour of her community vegetable garden on her rooftop on the Lower East Side.

  • @MondoBeno answer to question 2 it depends if you live in Florida or New York question 1 the plants will grow slower but you give just enough food and water they will grow if you can paint white walls to reflex the sun light

  • I have 2 questions:

    1. What if you have a yard that faces north and doesn't get a lot of light?

    2. What can you grow outdoors during the winter?
