We tested the Kreg Pocket Jig. If your looking to join two piece of wood together, take a look at this jig system. Very easy to use. Great for DIY.

  • Thank you, great video. I need one for a bookcase I'm going to build

  • @dbest1a Thanks. Been using it for a while and does a great job. Happy with it.

  • Never knew John Travolta was a keen woodworker. Good vid John.

  • @tombutleruk thats funny. I have had people tell me that before, but I don't see it.

    Hi pp,

You do resemble Travolta. Being a guy, I am not really qualified, to say, but you are a shade better looking. I bet he's not so good at Kreg either!

Kreg is the best tool I bought in a long time, for run of the mill joinery. I still love my joints and stuff, but when the wife asks for something in a hurry I have my Kreg! Heck! What does it matter? She don't know the difference between a secret-mitred dovetail and a pocket-screw anyhow!

    Cheers

    MC

  • @MiCompre LOL thats funny. I do the same with my wife. Actually I try to pretend I don't hear her, but that doesn't work anymore. Now I just tell her all my batteries are dead.

  • Good basic overview of the tool but noticed a small error in the setup procedure for the bit. The SHOULDER of the bit should be aligned to the wood thickness mark on the jig, not the tip of the bit. This is the setup procedure for a normal operation, according to my manual.

  • @MiCompre What do you mean they reverted to the handle in the rear...Kreg not going to make the k3 anymore?

  • @woodentoolcompany

Well the newer jigs have reverted to the handle at the rear. Thank Gawd I got one of the front-lever jigs just in time. MC

  • @KregToolCompany Whats up with the shorter tips on your bits? The tips seem to be allmost a 1/8 shorter than other bits I buy. Makes a big difference I find. Stops me from buying Kreg!
