The cd-version of this song was released on a JB & The Playboys anthology that's still available. Lead vocalist Allan Nicholls was in that band and sings on the two Mashmakhan songs "Dance A Little Step" and it's flipside "One Night Stand". In 1981, Pierre Senecal toured the Maritimes as a one-man band (three banks of keyboards) and gave a rendition of "The Way We Were" that mesmerized the crowd into silence at the bar in Fredericton where I saw him play. Best show I've ever been to !!
