Somewhere It's Snowing

"Somewhere It's Snowing" is a song that I learned when I was in my youth college days. I have never seen the snow prior to when I first heard this song, thus I did not quite appreciate its powerful message. But its lyrics became more meaningful to me when I have actually touched and experienced the real snow with its power to cover vast lands and turn everything into white no matter what they are or what they've done! I always think that God's grace (unmerited, non-conditional free FAVOR) is like the snow, falling everywhere without choosing whom to cover...like a free gift given regardless of who you are or what you've done!

I once read in a poem - when snow covers the earth
that it hides the world's scars and gives nature new birth
and they say when a man turns from sin to the Lord
that forgiveness like snow covers him evermore

And somewhere it's snowing, see the soft drifting down
as the snowflakes surrender to the hardening ground
like the good grace of Jesus that now covers our sin
in the kingdom of Heaven, It's snowing again

And it's told that the angels lift their hearts and rejoice
when one traveler turns homeward from his way to the Lord's
if somewhere someone's turning, he's giving his all
then God's grace like the snow is beginning to fall

People on facebook were so incessantly complaining about the snow in Winter that I remembered this wonderful song and searched you tube and found your rendition of it. I posted it on fb to try to stop the negativity toward one of the four seasons. I ended up being so blessed by your song & video that I've listened to it over and over and over; even smiling, even weeping. Never underestimate the power of God through one You Tube Video!
