  • Is it on iTunes? If not, will it be?

  • Not yet, but it will be on iTunes by early next year... probably January or February. I'll submit some CDs to CDBaby soon, and I think they handle digital distribution...

  • You should use a professional mixing and mastering engineer.

  • Err, I do, I worked with Nate Reitsma, who has his own recording studio and has a lot of experience with recording, mixing, and mastering.

  • It sounds pretty undefined on my studio equipment and the mono test. Meaning bass is in the front, melody is in the back and quite to much reverb. Don't think it's just the compression.

BTW IMHO the master engineer should always be someone else than the mixer.

    Just my 2cents

  • Actually, it is the compression. I've always had a huge issue with YouTube, they compress my videos pretty badly. The actual audio files are much better defined, and less bass-y. The reverb is a matter of taste, though -- it is less on some tunes, more on others... I experimented with various reverb settings and ended up choosing different ones for each tune. On the first track, Bulerias in D, there is almost no reverb at all, for example...
