"In Irish mythology, Carman or Carmun was a warrior-woman and sorceress from Athens who tried to invade Ireland in the days of the Tuatha Dé Danann"

Byrd was such a patient musician! He managed to make such beautiful piece of music with such simple harmonies. The baroque composers that followed showed their talent through their exceedingly complex harmonic structures, yet William Byrd showed his wisdom. It takes real discipline to be able to hold off a change in theme. The modern composers, although I do love modern classical, could learn some things from Byrd.
