Hey Rob, just got to give you some credit. That was a fairly good 101 explanation of branding and brand image/equity. I'm 2 months from finishing my marketing degree and I think that was a fairly clear and concise explanation.

tiger to you agree that paintball has alot to do with intimidation because in that sence i think it should more on the tactical side becauseif a player is scared of u you have more of a chance that he cant hit the brod side of a barn when your rushing at him

@Shalkification and with getting everything to match i bought into the valken brand, if i was thinking of pads i wanted to buy or a new jersey i would turn to valken first cause i have tried and tested alittle bit of their stuff (in my expierence it works) i think another reason we buy into brands is through that inital experience, im not sure if this is a good link to make but, it's the same with the banks choosing one is considered a life time dession (ignore deals and services for a moment)

it's funny during my Media Classes we brought up alot of the points brought up in this video about branding and even after that as tiger said we buy into the brands because we're human, back when i bought my gear i just went for cheap stuff unaware of what the brand image would do to how people see me (though where i have played paintball in the UK people get scared of you just bringing your own googles) but even without knowing about the Valken brand i still tried to get everything to match
