Requested by Jeff Bates himself! He Wasn't like Us is about Jeff describing a little boy that wasn't like most little boys. He was poor and he always tried to be friends with Jeff and his friends, but they didn't like him and always picked on him. When the kid grows up he hangs out with a rough crowd and sees and brings out the best in them. Then one day he gets in trouble with the law, and Jeff watches as they nail him to the cross as Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I'm not a Jesus freak or nothin', but I do love this song. I'm not spiritual, but this song made me cry. I don't hate others for their beliefs just because their not mine. I have my opinions just like you have yours and as long as you don't try to push yours down my throat in the hopes of "saving" me, we'll get along. Anyway, this song is great and it's really a soul toucher, unlike so many songs out there today, i.e. stanky leg or anything justin bieber.

Wow, heard this song for the first ime today. Started out thinking it was just another song about bullies. When it reached the last verse I got goosebumps, literally. Great song and awesome job on the video.
