It's frustrating that Nuno is completely overlooked by the guitar magazines, apart from the occassional blurb. And John Mayer get's all this attention and is called a guitar god by Rolling Stone.. Nuno could play circles around Mayer..and then some.. he could out funk him, out shred him, out soul him, out technique him, and out melody him... yet he is totally ignored.. WTF!!

@racerx3065 - You've obviously mainly heard the songs where he shreds. He has TONS of songs where he plays with more feel than there are stars in the sky. Here's just two examples: "Peace(Saudade)" and "I Wonder". Check those out, sir. "Just a shredder"? Pah, I say :)

As my avatar and username might imply, Nuno is my all-time favorite guitar player. Because of him I started to play the guitar in the first place, named my band "Traffic Jam Zombies" for 3 or 4 hours and painted my nails back at my former band's last gig. Long live and prosper, sir.

@racerx3065 Mayer is decent but has so clearly ripped off SRV in playing style and vocals that he loses big points for originality. his 'feel' is not supperior to Nuno's.... not sure what youre listening to that makes you think NB's tone is too trebley... bty Paul Gilbert is also awesome... ..... you retard.

@wfenio sorry i almost forgot my main point, dont ever, ever compare nuno to john mayer just because mayer gets more press. you retard. mayer is an awesome songwriter, its not all about technique, and dont you ever forget it.

@wfenio im sorry but you clearly dont listen to Mayer, and while Nuno is a great player, to me he is just a shredder. Personally his tone is too trebly and he while he may be a superior shredder to mayer, he doesnt rival mayer in terms of feel. ive tried to listen to nuno but id much rather listen to paul gilbert.

@crazy4nuno have you ever heard of music grows on you, well WFTP grew on me i still think its not really good. but i like it now.. i do think he is a musical genius or atleast he is really good, he is my favorite guitarist behind chris broderick and i know he is a musician and all that stuff.... u r wrong about me, i know its not just about shredding cus i like a lot of ballads and slow songs and yes i mostly care about guitar cus thats what nuno is all about
