Thanks from Austin. Haven't visited El Paso in 6 years. Miss it dearly. All the negative comments or observations can pretty much be applied to any city, specially if the person feels out of place or like a stranger. Naturally, being on the border will strongly influence the culture. I'll take El Pasoans over New Yorkers, Los Angelinos or Chicagoans any day not to mention their crime and traffic. The only down side is the scarcity if good paying jobs, hence why I live in Austin.

@mozz11 Oh your so right... us idiots have an excellent police force, have evolved to one of the best economically developed cities in Texas, & have worked up to the best of the best... #1 Safest U.S City for 2010...
