hello good day, unlike other users i find the chevrolet colorado quite fascinating. I'm about to purchase a L5 3.5 cylinder and i just love the looks and the small engine...what i need to know is that if i can switch from L5 3.5 engine to V8 engine 5.3. Please let me know if that is possible.

@pat0garza Yeah, I think its possible - there are a few forums out there that have people that have done it ... but I bought mine with the V8 option

when did they put v8's in colorados thats sick does it still look the same though?

Started with the v8's for the '09 models .. look the same but they added the sport package with the upgraded suspension

I bought a 09 colorado and the dealer never told us that there was a v8 and im so pissed

The v8 swap is possible. But you need a lot of expertise and money. If you got that you are good. But honestly the v8 engine is only like another $1,100 if you build one at chevy.com. That's a lot cheaper and easier. :)

its amzing they put the same engine in the silverado,same sound as my dads 07 silverado
