One: we have no capital (equipment) for production. Two: Americans buy the cheapest product; thus they killed American labor as well as the unions which jacked up the prices. Three: if we did start a company; we would go broke trying to meet the new regulations or some company in another country under trade agreement claims unfair competition so your company is stomped on.
