  • Why do you say falsely?? If Mike got the penalty, he must have been off course and took a shortcut, since your judges see all and know all...

  • Mike did not get the penalty, he was just accused of it by the Robic team.

  • u r nuts mr. 2009RAAM, what would you do after 3000 miles?????? urinate in a durex? moron

yes, come to uor country an urinate in public after 2950 miles... no problem! MORON with erective disfuncion.... ejejejjj

  • This is a perfect example of having incorrect information. It was at the starting line not 2950 miles into the race. There are several comments in here that have incorrect information and no basis in reality. I applaud the officials for not giving penalties that are created by the public.

The fact of the matter is that Jure is used to being 12 hours ahead for most of the race. When Dani caught him and staid with him, Jure couldn't handle it and quit. This race also requires mental toughness.

  • If anyone from the RAAM organization team is reading this, could you please answer the following questions to all of us: Are you really gonna allow the real winner of the race to fight over silly penalties? Why wasnt Wyss punished for crossing the red light? We all respect Dani Wyss, but you have to be honest, we also all know that Jure is THE BEST and the only winner of the RAAM 2009!

  • This is a response from the media team and not the race officials. I witnessed Mr. Robic urinating in front 1000's of people and within 10 feet of 2 police officers who were looking directly at him. I don't think you would appreciate it if I came to your country and did that.

  • It was said said that he was urinating behind a stage before the race even began. But since Wyss ran a red light and got away with it, I think Jure made the right choice. He probably wouldn't be able to catch him and would come in 2nd but at least this way he got even with the organizers...

  • Ouh, I when I was reading about the penalties and why he got them they were explained a bit different, more subjective and a lot less race related. It's just that he's always getting penalties and we're tired of it :)

  • I agree with tcurk.

  • So let me understand you... everyone else has to exit the Freeway to get a hand off but Jure can take a hand off without exiting, everyone else has to go back to point of route departure if they go off course but Jure can take a short cut back to the course... everyone else has to get off the bike to piss but Jure can do anything. Jure can draft off his RV but everyone else has to ride alone.

    You are kidding, arent your?

  • I find it extraordinarily ironic that Robic gets a 30 minute penalty for doing the very same thing his crew FALSELY accused Mike Trevino of in 2004, costing Mike a legitimate shot at 1st place: going off course and taking a short cut back to the course. This man has done RAAM 7 times; he should know the rules by now.

  • I agree that what he did was wrong, but I'm sure he meant no disrespect to your country. And the nearest toilet was probably more than a couple of feet away for him do do such a thing. But why isn't this action handled by the police in form of a ticket, but is instead punished by the race officials with penalty minutes(hours)??? What does pissing have to do with racing???
