Leaders and experts at the forefront of the global clean energy movement are in Honolulu for the third annual Clean Energy Summit and Expo. As Hawaii moves towards a goal to achieve 70 percent clean energy by 2030, many in the field said the state has made progress, but the state still has far to go. R. James Woolsey, former CIA director and now venture capitalist and energy security expert, said the 50th state is right now more vulnerable than any other in the country.
