In response to the comment below from Tigramsihel, It does get quicker to work with once you get used to it - and I'm a fairly rusty knitter and copiong well. I am using 7mm needles. 7-8mm needles are recommended.

this yarn is painfully slow to work with. lots of other projects could be done whilst you are unravelling.
