great video...i live down the block from where the Pipeline used to be..it sucks driving by and seeing the stupid ass buisness offices they put up in it's place.

@lemonite1 What do you mean it had oververt? It was 4' of true vert right? Oververt = elipses, no? The replica is bigger? It looks smaller. I've thought to myself that might have to do with it being indoors. They used the original blueprints provided by the Hoffmans. Skaters still skate rough terrain today, c'mon! There were perfect skateparks in the skatepark era like Winchester and Cherry Hill. You can't find skateparks as great as the ones from the 70's, c'mon!

Hoffman let us go swimming in there when they first put it in and it was filled with water for the surface curing. I skated it for years afterward. Skating the pipe for an hour straight was my summer morning zen ritual. I practically lived in that park for years. I wasn't there for the wrecking...but thank you my brothers for giving it a proper wake...

Wow Upland skatepark is gone ? That sucks .

Eventually... man and his machines will destroy everything. Like the last dinosaur, Upland finally falls... If you could rip Upland-you could rip anywhere, bigger, deeper, and more gnarly than it looks; it's not about "old school" or "OG vert dogs"... it's about skating... period. This is a good post, and while it is sad... in the end all we have is our memories/stories.

@majora158 I'm sorry but it isn't even close.The original combi was smaller,tighter,kinked,rougher­,slippery,had more vert(oververt),bigger coping.After skating perfect ramps,parks,today's skaters wouldn't like the old pool.Even most of the top pros back then had a hard time in that thing.
